Headlight restoration in Smallfield, near Horley and Crawley
Cloudy or yellow headlights make a car look old and make night driving harder. We polish them clear and seal them.

Headlight restoration is £35 per headlight, or £70 plus VAT for both. We remove the haze, polish the lens and seal it with a UV-resistant coating. It can often be done in under an hour.
Plastic headlight lenses cloud over with age. Sunlight, road dirt and general wear eat into the surface. The lens goes foggy or yellow, and less light gets through.
We restore the lens in stages. First we remove the oxidised surface layer. Then we refine and polish the lens until it is clear. Finally we seal it with a UV-resistant coating, to help stop the clouding from coming back.
It is a much smaller job than replacing the headlights, and the car looks younger straight away.

Questions people ask
How much is headlight restoration?
It is £35 per headlight. For both headlights the price is £70 plus VAT.
How long does it take?
Often under an hour. Ask us when you book.
Will the clouding come back?
The lens is sealed with a UV-resistant coating to protect it. Over time any plastic lens will weather again, but the coating is there to slow it down.
Is it better than replacing the headlight?
For clouded lenses, restoration costs far less than a replacement and gives a clear result. Where the lens is cracked or has moisture inside, it needs replacing.
Does it help with the MOT?
A clear lens helps the headlight do its job. Our article on cloudy headlights explains what the MOT checks.
