Ericraft Bodyshop, Smallfield
Body repairs for Reigate, a short drive south
Ericraft Bodyshop is in Smallfield, about 19 minutes and 7.9 miles by road from Reigate Priory. Many Reigate customers send photos first.

Reigate is an old market town in Surrey, and one of the four towns of the borough of Reigate and Banstead. It has a castle site, a priory with public grounds, and Reigate Hill, which is mostly National Trust land. Redhill grew out to meet it on the east side.
Reigate has a lot of older houses and a lot of older streets. Many of the cars outside them have lived outdoors for years. That shapes what we get asked about.
From Reigate Priory to our workshop is about 19 minutes, or 7.9 miles, by the road the route finder picked.
What do Reigate cars usually need?
We would not call it a pattern, and nobody should read this as a statistic. But a car that lives on the street under trees and beside a kerb collects the same things: a small dent in a door from a trolley or a swung-open car door, rust starting where a stone chip has been left alone, and bumper corners rubbed by someone parking tight.
For the dents, have a look at our page on dent repair. A dent with unbroken paint is often a job for SMART repair, which works the panel back without filler or a respray. Rust is another matter, and the earlier we see it the better. We cannot judge how deep it goes from a photo, and we will tell you if we need to see the car. Bigger jobs involve a respray, and bumpers are the ones we do most.
How to get here from Reigate
The route finder uses the A217, the A2044 and the A23 for the first part. That much is main road. After that it is country lanes: Weatherhill Road, Hathersham Lane, New House Lane, Axes Lane and Honeycrock Lane, which bring you into Redehall Road. The workshop is Unit 6, 100 Redehall Road, postcode RH6 9RS.
The lanes are narrow in places, so take it steadily.
Is it quicker to go through Redhill?
It depends on where in Reigate you start. The route above runs through the lanes to Redhill's south side. If you live on the Reigate Hill side, the lanes may suit you less, and you might prefer the A23 down through Horley. Either is fine, and we would rather you arrived relaxed than rushed.
Do I have to come in for a price?
No. WhatsApp photos to 07724 146 809. We will say what we see, and for the quicker jobs we can give a price from the photos alone. The quote is free and there is no pressure. Some damage looks small and is not, and we will tell you if that is the case.
If Redhill is easier for you, it has its own page. From the south end of the borough, Horley is the nearest town to us. Drivers from the east side may also like our page for Godstone.
