Car body repairs near Gatwick Airport

Gatwick is an airport, not a town, and it sits on the edge of Crawley in West Sussex. It has two terminals, South and North. We are not at the airport. Our workshop is in Smallfield, on the Surrey side, and the drive from the South Terminal is about 11 minutes, or 5.3 miles. From the North Terminal it is about 12 minutes, or 5.7 miles.

What do people near Gatwick bring a car in for?

Anyone who leaves a car in a busy car park for a week or two can come back to something new. A door ding from the next car along. A scuffed bumper corner from somebody reversing out. A kerbed wheel from a tight space in the multi-storey. None of this is special to the airport, but a car that has been parked for a fortnight is a car you cannot check until you are back and tired.

How to get here from Gatwick

From the South Terminal, follow the airport roads (Perimeter Road North, Racecourse Road and Station Approach Road are the names on the route) out to the A23. Gatwick Road and Radford Road take you towards Horley. From the town the route follows the B2036 and B2037 east to Smallfield, then onto Redehall Road, where the workshop is at Unit 6, number 100.

From the North Terminal the first part is shorter, but you end up on the same roads. A satnav set to our postcode, RH6 9RS, will take you there. We have not tested every route in every kind of traffic, so allow a few extra minutes at rush hour.

If you cannot drive the car, ask about collection and delivery when you ring. It can be arranged for nearby areas.

Do I have to bring the car in for a price?

Not at first. Send photos on WhatsApp and we will tell you what we think. For quick jobs we can give a price from the pictures. For anything that looks like more than it seems, we will want to see the car, and we will say so rather than guess. The quote is free and there is no pressure to book.
